Have you ever been on a trip without a map? If you’re like us, you lived through the MapQuest days when we printed out directions before we left the house (those were the days!). We had to have clear directions to get to our destination stress-free.
It’s similar to listing a house. We follow a roadmap to list your home effortlessly. We have a plan for the most efficient, strategic listing process we’ve polished over our years as realtors in Yakima, Washington. Here’s how it works…
We start your pre-listing meeting by touring your home. We want to see all the fantastic amenities and unique qualities your home offers that we can use in marketing and pricing.
Then we share our listing packet with marketing and pricing strategies. Part of this is sharing a CMA (Comparative Market Analysis), which we use to price your home strategically. After we determine the list price, we schedule a listing date. Your listing date is based off when you need to sell and the time of the week we think will bring you the most traffic.
After our pre-listing meeting, we go to work to schedule all the things. Depending on the marketing strategy we’ve covered with you, we’ll organize staging, photos, video, and possibly cleaning. Read more about how and when you should stage your home.
During this step, you’ll want to spend time decluttering personal items like family photos and extra decor for a less personalized home that is clean and tidy. We want buyers to see themselves in your home, not your family on vacation in Hawaii :-).
After taking photos and videos, we ready all the marketing materials by ordering and printing them. We also create digital graphics for marketing your home online and on social media. We ensure your home is photographed in its best light!
Cheers! We list your home and make it live on the MLS, home marketing websites like Zillow, and our social media platforms. After going live, we may host a broker tour, an open house, or even send neighborhood postcards to extend the marketing of your home. Additionally, we sometimes advertise their homes in local and statewide real estate magazines.
The best part of our organized listing process is that we manage all the details to get your home listed in a prompt, well-planned, and well-executed manner, to get it from listed to SOLD! Then, you get to focus on your next steps, like finding a new home (we can help with that too!).
